“Outcast” – Released February 2010Outcast is the sophomore release by 8 Lives Spent. It is hard-hitting out of the gate and continues that momentum right up to the last track. It is definitely a signature of the band's style as it is the first recording written exclusively by 8 Lives Spent. Compared to vintage Black Sabbath with a hint of Creed, the album has received wonderful comments including one from former rock radio personality Ron Baker. “As a former Radio Announcer who has had the distinct pleasure of broadcasting to Millions from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I'm often handed music to listen to from bands worldwide. I have never been more impressed with a local bands sophomore effort than I am with "Outcast" from 8 Lives Spent. The maturation from ...the latest release left me grinning from ear to ear with the thought that these guys will be playing before millions in no time. I particularly enjoyed the songs, "Reminder", "Blessed by Death", "Fate", and treacherous groove of "Freight Train". Go enjoy these guys as I have over the last few years. 8 Lives Spent, it has been a joy to watch you come of age”. |

“Self-Inflicted Wounds” – Released December 2008The debut release of 8 Lives Spent is known for “having something for everyone”. Unlike Outcast, Self-Inflicted Wounds is a diverse collection of material brought in by members from other arrangements. While some songs were redone collectively, most are songs pre-arranged hence the wide diversity. Self-Inflicted can jump from upbeat tap-footing party tunes to in your face, straight-up rock. Shortly after its release the album received a great review by Fireworks Magazine in the UK and has been featured on rock stations locally as well as Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Dallas. |
